No, and it is worth knowing why. Browsers can open AVIF but cannot create it. A tool that offers AVIF output in the browser is either uploading your file to a server or silently giving you a PNG with the wrong extension, so we leave the option out.

No. This tool reads HEIC, AVIF, WebP, BMP, GIF, PNG, and JPG — the formats a browser can decode natively or with a small decoder. RAW is a different problem: each camera maker writes its own variant, the files carry sensor data rather than an image, and turning one into a viewable picture means applying a development pipeline. Use your camera's own software or a dedicated RAW converter, then bring the exported JPG or PNG here.

It depends on the target. PNG is lossless, so the pixels are written exactly as decoded. JPG and WebP are lossy, so the picture is compressed again — at the default quality of 85 that is invisible at normal viewing sizes, but converting between two lossy formats always stacks a second round of compression.

JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are painted with the fill colour you choose — white by default — before the file is written. Without that fill they would come out black. Convert to PNG or WebP if you need the transparency kept.

Only the first frame. The browser hands a single still image to the canvas, so an animation becomes a static picture of its opening frame. Converting animation to animation needs a dedicated encoder that browsers do not provide.

Yes. The image is redrawn onto a canvas before it is encoded, which drops camera settings, timestamps, and GPS coordinates along the way. That is usually welcome before sharing, but keep the original if you need the metadata.
